Job Purpose

Assembly and Delivery employees ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. They use their hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. They must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. An ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important. They’ll pack the goods in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents, and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Basic sheet metal skills including but not limited to: deburring, spot facing, riveting, and trim panels
• Move product within the facility to ensure proper flow
• Receiving product including tracking shipments, paperwork, counting parts
• Processing orders with attention to detail in paperwork and products
• Shipping on UPS, FedEx, USPS, and various freight companies
• Organizing shipping supplies and area
• Tracking and counting inventory regularly
• Packing, unpacking, and moving boxes
• Working with purchasing and order processing teams
• Assembling various parts based on work orders
• Minor electrical work
• Organizing supplies and workspace
• Pulling parts for delivery and packaging based on counts
• Willingness to operate a forklift and training for forklift operation
• Willingness to drive a truck and trailer (non-CDL) for deliveries and pickups
• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
• Other duties as required

Working Conditions

This role operates in a fabrication shop shipping and receiving environment with outdoor exposure and various weather conditions. Standard office and warehouse equipment are used, including phones, computers, printers, scales, hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers. The position requires operating a forklift and driving a truck and trailer (non-CDL).

Physical Requirements

The physical demands include frequent use of hands and fingers, reaching, talking, and hearing. The role is active, involving standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, and balancing. Lifting/moving objects up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
