Job summary

City Produce in Foley, AL is seeking a dependable delivery driver to join our team. You will deliver products on assigned routes in a safe, timely manner, load and unload, and use a pallet jack as needed.

You must have at least 1 year of box truck experience, a valid Class E license, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. We offer competitive hourly pay, health benefits, 401(k), PTO, Holidays, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class E driver's license
• Carrier Safety Administration knowledge
• DOT physical examination and Pre-Employment Drug Test
• Speak and write English satisfactorily
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and proven safe PSP score
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Safety-oriented mindset and adherence to procedures

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers on assigned routes in a safe and timely manner
• Load and unload products from the vehicle following proper handling procedures
• Use pallet jack to move products as necessary
• Verify orders for accuracy before departure and upon delivery
• Conduct pre/post trip inspection and comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive
• Operate vehicle safely within company guidelines minimizing accidents and complaints

Essential Functions:

• Deliver Products to customers on assigned routes in a safe and timely manner
• Load and unload products from the vehicle following proper handling procedures
• Use pallet jack to move products as necessary
• Verify orders for accuracy before departure and upon delivery
• Conduct Pre/post trip inspection and all responsibilities outlined by the FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and responsive
• Operate vehicle safely within company guidelines minimizing accidents, traffic violations and complaints from the public

Qualifications:

• At least 1-year successful experience driving a box truck or higher as required
• Possess a valid Class E License
• Carrier Safety Administration knowledge
• DOT physical examination and Pre-Employment Drug Test
• Speak and write English satisfactorily
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and proven safe PSP score
• Organized and attention-to-detail approach
• Safety-oriented mindset with a commitment to following all safety procedures

Compensation:

• $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday – Sunday (Off one day during the week. Must work one weekend day)
• 4:00am – 5:00am start time - finished

Physical Demands:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Lift boxes up to 50 lbs regularly
• Work in cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
