Job Requirements and Duties

Qualifications

General job duties for all store team members include:

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.

Essential Functions/Skills:

• Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Make correct monetary change.

• Coordinate motor skills between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions – Exposure

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product.
• In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to above 90°F in some work areas.
• Sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust.
• Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensing

• Talking and hearing on telephone.
• Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
• Walking: Short distances and durations; surfaces include ceramic tile, linoleum; work surfaces 36" to 48".
• Paperwork: Normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more; unloading with a hand truck; cases up to 50 pounds; stacking onto shelves up to 72".
• Carrying: Large cans (3 lb, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of dough (~12 lb per tray) carried from workstation to storage or front of store.
• Pushing: Trays on dollies (24‑30") requiring up to 7.5 lb of force to push or pull.
• Climbing: Infrequent stairs or ladder to change signs, wash walls, perform maintenance.

Additional Physical Demands

• Forward bending at the pizza assembly station; duration 30‑45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously.
• Crouching/squatting to stock shelves and clean low areas.
• Reaching: up/down/forward; above 72" to turn oven controls, change signage; below 72" to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward to obtain toppings, clean surfaces, answer phones.
• Hand tasks: Continuous use of hands, forearms, wrists; manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, cardboard box assembly; grasping cans, phone, cutter, peel, boxes.
• Machines/tools: pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
