QUALIFICATIONS

General job duties for all store team members

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, walk‑in cooler, and work area.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Training

Orientation and on‑the‑job training is provided.

Communication Skills

• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather when performing outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F or higher.
• Sudden temperature changes both inside and outside.
• Exposure to food fumes and cornmeal dust.
• Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing – Most tasks are performed from a standing position.

Walking – For short distances and short durations on varied surfaces including ceramic tile, bricks, and linoleum. Work surface height ranges 36" to 48".

Paperwork – Completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting – Bulk product deliveries are unloaded using a hand truck, up to 50 lbs with dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases are stacked on shelves up to 72" high.

Carrying – Large cans (≈3 lbs) to storage shelves, pizza sauce (≈30 lbs) to the front store, trays of dough (~12 lbs each) carried three at a time over short distances.

Pushing – Trays on dollies (24"–30") require up to 7.5 lbs of force. Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing – Infrequently navigate stairs or ladder for maintenance.

Additional Information

Forward Bending – Required at pizza assembly station and front counter for stocking ingredients. Duration ~30–45 seconds continuously throughout the day.

Crouching/Squatting – Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.

Reaching – Continuous upward, downward, and forward movements. Above 72" to adjust ovens or change prices. Downward to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes. Forward for toppings, cleaning surfaces, or answering phones.

Hand Tasks – Continuous eye‑hand coordination, frequent use of hands. Forceful forearm and wrist use when shaping dough. Manipulation of pizza peel, rolling cutter, and packaging. Pinching during cardboard box assembly.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids – Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.

DRIVING SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

• Deliver product to customer door.
