Position Overview

DSG is seeking a Delivery Driver in our South Sioux City, NE location. This full-time, hourly role typically operates between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional variations based on business needs. The primary responsibility is delivering products to customers and job sites, including loading, unloading, securing, and transporting materials.

A Typical Day

• Load the delivery truck safely according to company policies.
• Coordinate with warehouse associates on loading procedures.
• Inspect the truck and trailer for safety and compliance with DOT standards.
• Report any vehicle issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Communicate delivery schedules with customers.
• Drive to customer locations, usually within 150 miles of the branch.
• Unload materials at customer sites as instructed.
• Comply with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations, including completing required training.
• Follow DSG's safety policies and vehicle safety programs.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery, including:

1. Pulling products accurately and promptly.
2. Packing, labeling, and organizing orders for delivery.
3. Operating forklifts.
4. Using computers and RF scanners for inventory management.

Qualifications

• A valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a medical card.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience or knowledge of products and warehouse/delivery operations.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Safety training in material handling and forklift operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or move items weighing 70-325 lbs with assistance.
• Basic computer skills.
