Job Overview:

The Delivery Driver is an essential role that engages and Brings Joy to our guests, creating memorable experiences, leaving positive and lasting impressions, and delivering our incredible products with the highest quality of standards. This individual uses our company vehicle to make daily deliveries to our guests and brings sample cakes to area businesses so they can learn about all the Joy we have to offer at our bakeries!

This individual organizes delivery orders, checking them for accuracy, then loads and delivers following a specific route. After deliveries are completed, the Delivery Driver brings joy to area businesses through cake samples, educating people about our programs and product offerings, reviewing and leaving literature, and capturing contact and follow-up information.

The Delivery Driver assists in setting up and working at offsite events. This individual will also receive training as a Guest Services Representative.

In addition to regular hourly pay, this role features unlimited bonus/commission opportunities!

Required Work Availability:

This role typically operates Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM; however, the role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on changing business demands.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to guests or businesses in a safe, timely manner with a friendly attitude
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and guests are highly satisfied
• Engaging with area businesses by bringing sample cakes to their offices, discussing available options, and capturing relevant information for follow-up from our team
• Protecting the quality of the NbC product
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Keeping vehicle organized, clean, and tidy
• Complying with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
• Maintaining a consistent attendance and punctuality record

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Exhibits high energy and strong interpersonal skills; is friendly, helpful, positive, patient, socially confident, and communicative
• Is diligent, organized, and self-motivated
• Has the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Skilled and confident driver
• Comfortable maneuvering and parking a vehicle
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented with an innate sense of direction
• Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems
• Comfortable using computers and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Education, Certifications, and Work Experience Requirements:

• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license required
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Must possess their own vehicle to get to work

Compensation and Other Sweet Perks:

• $11.00 per hour minimum to start based on experience, availability, and other criteria
• Bonus for every delivery made when basic expectations are met
• Commissions earned at offsite events
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS level (when using personal vehicle)

Note: Applicants must meet our insurance requirements. An official driving record will be obtained from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and reviewed before a position will be offered. All drivers will be required to submit to alcohol/drug testing at the company's request.
