Job summary

McGriff Tire 576 - Prichard is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver products to customers on designated routes. The role involves customer service, loading/unloading, and processing payments, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You must be able to operate a truck with a trailer (CDL not required), pass a DOT medical exam, and maintain good driving records. The job is on-site in Mobile and requires physical stamina in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance by completing Pre & Post Trip Inspections.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Delivery Driver

General Description:

Delivery Drivers are responsible for the safe, accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Duties Include:

• Safely operate a truck while pulling a trailer. (CDL not required)
• Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes.
• Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints.
• Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and complete instructions.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
• Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
• Sitting/driving for extended periods of time.
• Able to read tickets and perform work listed.
• Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
• Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).
• Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment).
• PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves).

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
