Higa Meat and Pork Market Ltd. is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely transport and deliver perishable products to customers in a timely, professional manner. The role requires maintaining accurate records, temperature-controlled transport, and strong communication with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, verifying orders, obtaining signatures, and adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Prior delivery or refrigerated transport experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Certification required.
• Delivery experience preferred.
• Experience in food distribution or refrigerated deliveries is a plus.
• Ability to operate delivery trucks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles to designated customer locations.
• Load and unload products with proper handling and protection of goods.
• Verify delivery orders for accuracy before departure and on delivery; maintain schedules/routes for timeliness.
• Obtain customer signatures on delivery documents and file paperwork with the appropriate department.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service regarding status, delays or issues.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
• Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies.
• Ensure proper temperature control when transporting perishable goods.
• Report damaged products, shortages, or delivery discrepancies.
• Assist warehouse staff with loading, unloading, or other duties when required.

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering company products to customers in a timely and professional manner. This role ensures that all deliveries are accurate, properly documented, and handled according to company standards. The Delivery Driver represents the company during customer interactions and plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products to designated customer locations.

• Load and unload products while ensuring proper handling and protection of goods.

• Verify delivery orders for accuracy prior to departure and upon delivery.
  Maintain delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries.

• Obtain customer signatures on delivery documents and return paperwork to the appropriate department.

• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.

• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
