Job summary

Forshaw Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to transport products to businesses on scheduled routes and support the branch warehouse with loading and dock duties. You will meet customer needs, resolve issues, and maintain safety and compliance with DOT and OSHA rules.

You must be at least 21, have a valid license with a clean record, and be able to obtain a DOT medical card. Morning start times and basic computer skills are helpful, and forklift/pallet jack experience is a plus.

Description

The Delivery Driver will deliver products to businesses on a scheduled route or intermittently, serve customers by meeting customer needs and resolving customer problems, and work at the branch warehouse, which includes but is not limited to maintaining the dock, loading, and performing warehouse duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Pick, pack, and ship orders and products
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Load, deliver, and unload product orders safely to customers
• Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries
• Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating in person with customers, providing information on ordering and delivery times
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Maintain appropriate driver's license and endorsements

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years driving experience
• Must be at least 21 years old

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Understanding of highway traffic signs and signals
• Basic computer experience or knowledge is a plus
• Forklift and pallet jack experience is a plus
• Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Routinely bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects and materials weighing 50 pounds or more
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
