Job summary

Mattress Firm Inc. is seeking a warehouse/delivery associate in Kahului, HI. The role involves lifting heavy cargo, loading and unloading, and delivering products to stores and customers with a focus on on-time service.

You will interact with customers and store personnel, maintain logs, and follow safety and company procedures. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, along with the ability to operate the necessary equipment and navigate schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related experience preferred.
• Satisfactory driving record; valid driver's license required.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, receive, and provide documentation for delivery or pick up of product to ensure timely service.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo.
• Operate a truck that transports cargo to and from destinations (truck size > 3 tons).
• Obtain client and customer signatures as acknowledgment of delivery.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring proper setup and removal of old products safely.
• Maintain contact with router for delivery/pickup instructions.
• Follow delivery routes and time schedules.
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo per regulations.
• Complete required training modules and certifications by due date.
• Follow safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external contacts.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of product to ensure timely service.

• Obtain client and customer signatures as acknowledgment of having received the delivered products.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring proper set up and removal of old products in a safe manner.
• Maintain contact with router to receive instructions about scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules.
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
• Responsible for daily vehicle inspection reporting and routine maintenance of vehicle and all other equipment provided.
• Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
• Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
• Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
• Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Non-Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in warehouse duties when necessary.
• Ensure safe and timely transfer of products between store locations.
• Assist store personnel with material movement.
• Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Professional Experience

1+ Years related experience preferred

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Able to be thorough and accurate when accomplishing a task.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
• Knowledge – Familiarity with navigation systems.
• Microsoft Office products (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Satisfactory driving record. Upon Hire required Valid Driver’s License.
• Upon Hire required Valid and updated Medical Certificate.

Compensation

Competitive pay range of $23.00-$24.50 per hour *Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience and does not guarantee employment for any specific period. Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the Company’s discretion for eligible roles, including leadership and individual contributor positions. Sign‑on Bonus: $2500. Hourly: $23–$24.50 depending on exp.
