Job summary

VP Supply Corp, a large distributor with locations across Western New York and Pennsylvania, seeks a Delivery Driver for the Jamestown, NY branch. No CDL required; 1–3 years of box truck experience preferred.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with core responsibilities around timely deliveries and customer service. The role requires loading/unloading, route coordination, and vehicle maintenance duties, along with strong communication and reliability in a fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience driving a 26' box truck.
• Knowledge of Chautauqua County and surrounding areas.
• Able to climb on/off the back of a truck using side steps.
• Must pass motor vehicle and background checks.
• Reliable daily transportation to the branch.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and log routes for morning and afternoon deliveries.
• Load/unload product for daily routes and ensure secure loads.
• Move skids with pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate.
• Complete paperwork for vendor pickups, returns, transfers, and logs.
• Provide delivery times, signatures, photos, and refusals to the Dispatcher.
• Keep truck cab/bed clean at end of shift; schedule routine maintenance.
• Serve as warehouse back-up as needed; perform other duties.

Position Overview

Our Warehouse Department is seeking to hire a Delivery Driver with 1-3 years of experience driving 26' box trucks to join our Jamestown, NY branch. Note, no CDL is required for this position.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

As an essential business, our warehouse department is continuing to expand to meet the growing demands of our customers. Our deliver drivers have the primary responsibility of ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading/unloading trucks, and providing exceptional customer service to our client base.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and logs routes for morning and afternoon delivery trucks, with focus on delivery time commitments.


• Hands‑on loading and unloading of product that is received into individual daily routes and secure loads.


• Move skids using a manual pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate.


• Complete and maintain paperwork from the day's work including, vendor pick-ups, customer returns, inter-branch transfers, and truck logs.


• Provide information to Dispatcher throughout the day, such as delivery times, signature capture, picture capture and package refusals.


• Ensure truck cab and bed are emptied and cleaned daily at the end of every shift.


• Prepare and schedule maintenance on vehicles to determine needed repairs or inspections.


• Serve as warehouse back-up on an as needed basis.


• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience driving a 26' box truck, or similar vehicle.


• Territorial knowledge of Chautauqua County and surrounding areas.


• Ability to climb on and off the back of a truck, using side steps.


• Must be able to undergo a motor vehicle and background check.


• Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• This job requires flexibility in hours from 6AM until daily deliveries are complete. This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time as well as the ability to lift 50-75 pounds.

Salary Description

$18.00 - $20.00
