Shifts Available: 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00am until the route is complete, generally 4:00pm to 5:00pm or until route is complete.
Night Shift: 2:00am until the route is complete, generally 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes and ensuring the safe operation of vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders.
- Ensure that material loaded on the truck matches the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination.
- Unload materials for customers at each delivery location, verifying accuracy based on the Ship Ticket.
- Perform daily detailed inspections of the vehicle to ensure maintenance and safety standards are met.
- This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver's License in the state of residence with at least 3 years of driving history.
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no A violations or no more than one B violation in the past 3 years.
- At least 1 year of driving experience within the past 36 months operating a commercial vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more preferred.
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input data accurately, reason, and analyze.
- Ability to function independently and complete various tasks accurately with close attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent driving in all weather conditions.
- Adherence to safety regulations, with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
- Regularly walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, reach, handle objects, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle per Sec. 391.41 standards; a DOT physical exam will be conducted.
- Compliance with USDOT's Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation, noting that 'medical marijuana' is not accepted as a valid medical explanation for a positive drug test under federal regulations.
