LKQ Corporation is seeking a Delivery Driver for first shift in our Rochester area. The role involves operating a company vehicle to deliver parts to customers, loading/unloading, collecting payments, and obtaining signatures for receipts with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have 1+ year of delivery experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass DOT/FMCSA requirements. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• 1+ year of delivery/driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Must qualify for corporate auto insurance.
• DOT/FMSCA regulations knowledge is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate Company vehicle to deliver parts to customers safely and courteously.
• Load and unload delivery truck; verify parts loaded/unloaded and obtain signatures.
• Collect payments and provide receipts; document returned items.
• Drive to destinations and ensure accuracy of orders; obtain receiving signatures.
• Maintain manifests and paperwork; adhere to DOT/FMCSA rules.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery/pickup and assist in other duties as assigned.

Manually loads and unloads delivery truck, verifies parts loaded and unloaded, collects payments from customers, obtains signatures from receiving locations confirming accuracy of parts unloaded/loaded and delivers returned items back to the location.Essential Job DutiesDrive a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.Physically load Company truck at the location and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest, and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made.Drive to the delivery destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location.Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts on parts being returned from customers to the location.Collect accounts receivable, as necessary.Comply with established Company policies and procedures.Successful completion of annual training as assigned.Operate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.Provide excellent customer service during delivery/pick up of products.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceNo Degree Required1+ years of experience requiredPossess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.Must qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (“DOT”) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) regulations.Preferred RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GEDSix months related delivery driving experiencePrior warehouse operations experienceKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.Basic messages communicated orally.
