Wright Beverage Distributing seeks a full-time Class A CDL driver in the Buffalo, NY area. You will deliver to retail accounts, perform DOT inspections, load/unload, and handle COD invoices while maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Training is provided and a strong benefits package supports employees and families. This role reports to Operations and Mechanics when issues arise and requires excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class A CDL license or permit required.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet-moving equipment preferred.
• Strong communication and math skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers on a timely basis.
• Perform daily DOT safety inspections and report issues.
• Load/unload, verify BBLs and add-ons before departure.
• Manage cash and COD invoices accurately.
• Maintain truck cleanliness inside and out.
• Report truck, trailer and handheld issues to supervisors.
• Assist spotter when operating two-man trucks.
• Interact professionally with retail accounts and customers.

Wright Beverage Distributing is looking for FT Drivers with a Class A to join our team! You will receive training and development with the opportunity to grow. Come join our team and make Wright Beverage your career!POSITION VISIONTo safely drive company vehicles and to correctly deliver products to customers on a timely basis.Responsibilities1. Report to work wearing a clean and neat company uniform2. Performs a daily DOT truck safety inspection report and files the paperwork with the mechanic at EOD before leaving. Master copy remains in the truck.3. Checks all fluid levels before starting truck.4. Loads and verifies all BBLs and add on orders to truck before leaving on delivery route5. Drives truck to make deliveries to retail accounts6. Adjust invoices when necessary and collects payments for COD accounts. Driver is responsible for all cash and invoice totals.7. Picks up all empty cases, kegs, soda trays at every delivery.8. Refuels truck at the end of the delivery route9. Unloads product and rotates fresh product with product already at retail based on code date10. Returns undelivered product, breakage, empties and pallets to proper warehouse locations11. Keeps trucks clean inside and out daily including inside bays and trailer12. Reports to Operations Manager and Mechanics any issues with the truck, trailer and handcart13. Reports to IT Manager, Operation Manager any issues with handheld and printer14. If you are operating a two man truck the assistant acts as a spotter when truck is backing upCUSTOMER RELATIONS1. Strong math skills, creative initiative.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack, 1 case of can (21 pounds), 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds), 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds) and½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground; stand; continuous use of hands and arms to reach for product. The employee is frequently required climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONSExpected to represent brands across all Wright territories. Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts.
