Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is looking for SWDS Drivers in Baraboo, Wisconsin, responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to customers. Drivers will ensure the integrity of customer orders while providing excellent customer service and adhering to all transportation laws.

SWDS Drivers are responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using company vans or pickup trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. Drivers are accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner.

This role is full time and will be based at Store #3049, 614 State Road 136, Baraboo, WI 53913. Pay is $16.50 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck.
• Complete appropriate forms.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and on time.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints.
• Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders.
• Contact customers, which may include minors, and handle access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, completion of all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• At least one year of experience using material handling equipment.
• Previous experience selling paint or paint-related products.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
