Job summary

A leading outdoor materials supplier in Michigan is seeking a reliable Delivery Coordinator to manage logistics and ensure timely deliveries. This role involves scheduling deliveries, communicating with teams, verifying orders, and maintaining inventory. • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work outdoors as required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage daily deliveries to job sites and customers.
• Communicate with drivers and internal teams to confirm delivery needs.
• Track deliveries and address issues or delays proactively.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with restocking.
• Maintain accurate records of decking materials, fasteners, and accessories.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with restocking and order placement.
• Help monitor stock levels to meet project demands without shortages or excess.
• Organize materials by brand, size, and project for easy access and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Ensure all materials are properly stored, labeled, and secured.
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols and handling procedures.
• Assist with unloading deliveries, staging orders, and preparing outgoing loads.
• Work closely with the installation and sales teams to ensure materials arrive on time for scheduled projects.
• Communicate shortages or special-order needs to the purchasing team.
• Provide regular updates to management on deliveries, inventory status, and logistics performance.

Position Overview

The Delivery Coordinator plays a key role in keeping our operations running efficiently from warehouse to job site. This position involves organizing and dispatching deliveries, managing inventory, and maintaining clear communication between our warehouse, sales, and installation teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage daily deliveries to ensure on-time arrival of materials to job sites and customers.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to confirm routes, schedules, and delivery requirements.
• Track all deliveries, proactively addressing any issues, delays, or changes.
• Verify that all outgoing orders are accurate and complete before dispatch.
• Maintain accurate records of decking materials, fasteners, and accessories.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with inventory software a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions as needed.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
