Job summary

A&B Distributors is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support daily routes, unload and stock products, and merchandise displays at customer sites. This Monday–Friday role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and professional customer interactions.

You will assist drivers, rotate stock, verify quantities, and maintain presentation standards while following company and safety policies to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a Valid Driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize sales applications within ERP software (i.e. Encompass).
• 1+ year of customer service, retail, sales, or service industry experience.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with delivering, unloading and stocking products at assigned customer locations.
• Help execute merchandising plans including rotating stock and maintaining product presentation standards.
• Verify product quantities and assist with accurate delivery documentation.
• Ensure all products are handled safely to prevent damage or loss.
• Follow all company, customer and safety policies during deliveries and in-store work.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff and store personnel to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
