CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time Delivery Assistant in Capital Heights, MD. The role supports the driver with loading/unloading, securing loads, cleaning and assembling furniture, and assisting customers during deliveries. Pay is $18.50 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation required.
• General labor experience preferred.
• Furniture or delivery experience preferred.
• Physically able to move furniture and lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Must pass drug screening and MVR checks; E-Verify participation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect furniture for delivery readiness before loading.
• Manually load/unload materials from pallets and docks.
• Ensure safe loading to protect products during transport.
• Assist with delivery and pickup, moving/setup/cleanup as needed.
• Assist driver with navigation, parking, and spotting backing up the truck.
• Communicate with customers prior to deliveries and provide good service.
• Complete delivery paperwork and logs; keep dispatch informed.
