Job summary

Diakon Logistics in Theodore (AL) is seeking an experienced Delivery & Assembly Supervisor to oversee white-glove last-mile delivery operations, validate contractor performance, and drive customer satisfaction. The role focuses on onboarding contractors, ride-along audits, performance reporting, training, and issue resolution across field teams.

The position offers a salary of $55,000–$65,000 plus bonus potential, vehicle allowance, medical benefits, 401(k) match, and paid vacations and holidays

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a furniture delivery/assembly contractor.
• Proven ability to evaluate and validate work quality of delivery/assembly operations.
• Experience conducting ride-along audits or field assessments of contractor performance.
• Strong knowledge of furniture delivery best practices, safety protocols, and assembly standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and onboard new delivery contractors, drivers, and assembly helpers before engagement.
• Develop and implement standardized assessment criteria for contractor performance.
• Conduct ride-along observations to assess performance and compliance with standards.
• Document observations and provide feedback to contractors and internal teams.
• Track performance metrics and generate reports with improvement recommendations.
• Provide coaching and training on company standards and best practices.
• Investigate customer complaints related to delivery/assembly quality and resolve issues.
