Job description

Architect, UKG PRO WFM Advanced Scheduling & Forecasting

Reporting into a Team Manager, the Architect plays a leadership role in guiding clients and Axsium project team members through implementation and customization of their Workforce Management (WFM) strategy. Architects participate in leading and guiding internal project teams throughout all phases of a client engagement. This is a remote position based in Canada or in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and guide clients and Axsium team through all project phases to make informed decisions with the following project deliverables:

  • Provide deep domain expertise to oversee function or technical approach, tasks, and deliverables on a project
  • Lead and guide clients to desired outcomes for complex requirements and/or processes
  • Demonstrate domain expertise to gain clients' confidence
  • Review and lead client-facing presentations on complex subjects
  • Master Axsium tools, systems, and methodology, whether internal or external, demonstrated through selection, use, guidance to others, and adaptation of the tools as needed
  • Refine approach, deliverables, and processes to further improve project efficiency and effectiveness
  • Strive to develop continuous improvement of approach, deliverables, and processes
  • Take initiative to share improvements and develop other Axsium resources
  • Ensure quality of configuration tasks, project documentation, and all other deliverables
  • Support Project Manager by highlighting potential project risks in a timely manner and providing potential alternatives within domain expertise
Client Interaction

Represent Axsium to our clients in the following ways, mentoring the Axsium team as needed:

  • Present and always conduct yourself in a professional manner, whether onsite with the client or interacting remotely through phone, email, and other online platforms
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate demanding situations in a calm and structured way and seek help if required
  • Understand, adapt, and act respectfully within the client’s organization and culture
  • Lead, guide, and coach the Axsium team in discussions and workshops with the client
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients on projects and beyond and continue to find additional opportunities with them
  • Master all Axsium service offerings and WFM vendor capabilities
  • Demonstrate expertise with Axsium service offerings and WFM vendor landscape, and find opportunities for additional work
  • Provide insight to clients on industry/business and WFM operations
  • Demonstrate confidence to learn and master new areas within domain expertise
  • Provide best practices and conduct situation assessments to drive decision-making
Administration
  • Timely and accurate submission of timecards and expense reports
  • Proactively provide notification of availability and adhere to project assignment hours
  • Comply with Axsium data security policies and Human Resources policies
  • Communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner with peers, leadership, and all others at Axsium
  • Effectively use bench time for Axsium’s improvement and for personal development

  • Act as an ambassador for Axsium culture in personal presentation, commitment, and integrity
  • Take personal ownership and accountability for individual ability to positively impact Axsium’s company success
  • Maintain and continuously seek improvement to domain expertise, through training and experience
  • Collaborate within Axsium with peers through ASK and other knowledge sharing forums
  • Innovate and develop thought-leadership in WFM
  • Mentor, guide, and develop other consultants
  • Lead and own internal Axsium initiatives and projects
  • Actively engage in the sales cycle, creating completion project estimates and SOWs, partnering with internal sales account owners
Requirements
  • 8+ years of workforce management consulting experience developing and executing workforce management implementation strategies
  • 8+ years of experience working with workforce management technologies and vendors including but not limited to labor forecasting, schedule optimization, timekeeping, budgeting, and task management; vendor certifications are an asset
  • UKG PRO WFM Forecasting and Advanced Scheduling implementation experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
  • Experience advising and selling ideas to clients through discussion and presentation to client’s project team, senior management, and C-level executives
  • Exemplary customer service skills with demonstrated ability to effectively develop and maintain client relationships
  • Deadline driven, confident, open to taking initiative, with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead and guide clients and internal teams in the use of best practices
  • Database experience; SQL, Access, statistical software, and strong Excel capabilities
  • Experience working with remote teams and independently with minimal supervision
  • University or college degree ideally in business, computer science, information systems, or industrial engineering
