Job summary

The GIANT Company in Whitehall, PA is hiring a deli team member to handle and stock deli products, receiving, weighing, slicing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking items while maintaining neat, appealing displays.

You will provide friendly customer service, follow safety rules, PPE guidelines, and company policies; lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and completing required training are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to GIANT/MARTIN'S customers, co-workers, vendors, and business associates.
• Receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, and package products.
• Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions, including stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product.
• Maintain proper cooler conditions including coding, rotating, organizing cases weighing 20–50 lbs, and cleaning.
• Maintain proper prep area conditions, including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as they apply to the deli area.
• Maintain safe and clean sales floor conditions, including sweeping and mopping.
• Provide friendly and courteous customer service, answer questions, make recommendations, and promote products.
• Dress according to company policy with a neat, clean appearance at all times.
• Complete ELM training courses as they are added to the learning page.
