• Keeps deli service areas stocked and appealing; greets customers and resolves questions politely.
• Ensures freshness and correct pricing of displayed merchandise; rotates stock.
• Operates slicing equipment; prepares ready‑to‑eat foods to order; makes meat/cheese platters.
• Adheres to recipes and safety policies when preparing food items.
• May operate cash register; follows money handling procedures; observes tobacco/alcohol laws.
• Maintains sanitation; follows cleaning schedules; adheres to health/OSHA requirements.
• Assists in inventory control; minimizes losses and handles approvals for returns.
• May assist with receiving and unloading deliveries; training provided.
• Cooperates with coworkers; ensures smooth department/functioning of store.
• Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
