Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Deli/Department Associate to support daily deli operations and customer service. You will assist the Deli Manager with merchandising, inventory, and staff engagement, ensuring product freshness and proper handling.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of management experience in retail or a related environment. Competitive hourly pay and a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or in progress.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist and answer questions with a positive attitude.
• Ensure freshness and proper product handling; reduce losses per procedures.
• Assist Deli Manager with merchandising, ad execution, and associate engagement.
• Monitor inventories, weekly sales, and supply levels; support period-end stock.
• Review schedules, control labor costs, and assist training and performance development.
• Follow company sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements; complete logs.
• Ensure smooth department workflow and continuous performance improvement.
• Perform duties as needed by management.
