Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a deli-focused team member to handle and knowledgeably manage deli products, from receiving to stocking and displaying. You will maintain clean, safe prep and service areas, follow food safety standards, and assist customers with product recommendations.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintain displays, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience for customers while following company policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service as part of GIANT/MARTIN'S stores.
• Receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, and package products.
• Maintain shelf, case, and display conditions, including stocking and rotating product.
• Maintain proper cooler conditions, including coding, rotating, organizing cases, cleaning.
• Maintain prep area cleanliness and sanitize work surfaces and equipment.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations in the deli area.
• Ensure safe and clean sales floor conditions and respond to customer needs.
