Job summary

Hansen's IGA Market is seeking a Deli Associate to deliver best-in-class customer service at the deli counter and on the sales floor. You will weigh, package, and label deli items, slice meats and cheeses, and prepare daily salad bar, deli salads, dips, pizzas, and sandwiches per recipes.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, stocking and rotating deli products, maintaining back coolers, and operating deli equipment while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old due to required operation of Deli equipment
• Strong customer interaction skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in the Deli Department with best-in-class service
• Slice meats and cheeses using the deli slicer
• Weigh, package, price and label deli items
• Prepare salad bar items, deli salads, pizzas, sandwiches/wraps, and dips
• Maintain back coolers and rotate stock, dating and cleaning
• Assist with stocking, facing and rotating the deli wall
• Maintain sanitation and temperature logs and operate deli equipment safely
