Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Deli Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and help maintain a clean, safe environment in the deli.

You will support the department manager in achieving sales and quality goals while demonstrating Kroger’s core values of respect, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. You will handle food preparation for various deli items, ensure proper labeling and freshness, and contribute to a positive, customer-focused shopping

Qualifications

• Experience delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced deli environment.
• Strong communication and math skills for handling orders.
• Willingness to obtain a food handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars per customer requests.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes with kitchen tools.
• Label, date, rotate, and monitor deli products for quality and freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.
