Job summary

Haggen, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented associate for a kitchen/department role. You will provide guest-focused service, participate in hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and help plan daily and weekly schedules while promoting up-selling and proper merchandising.

Role involves hands-on food preparation and maintaining freshness, stock rotation, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a busy kitchen environment. Weekend or holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of department operations experience or equivalent education.
• Math skills including recipes, gross margins, markup and percentages, budgeting labor and sales, discounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly guest care at all times.
• Hire, train, evaluate and communicate with associates including counseling when needed.
• Coach and cross-train associates for management development.
• Write daily plans and weekly work schedules.
• Model salesmanship and teach up-selling and merchandising.
