Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in Plymouth, NH seeks a deli department associate to maintain product quality, safety, and presentation, and to build strong customer relationships.

You will lead tasks, train associates, and ensure compliance with safety standards while developing knowledge across deli meats, cheeses, salads and sandwiches. You must be able to work with others, follow policies, and communicate effectively. Physical duties include lifting up to 40 lbs and standing most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed appearance and comply with personal appearance policy.
• Assist in special projects and other functions as assigned by supervision.
• Assist in training other associates when assigned.
• Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization.
• Work within our company's management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed. Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
• Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of deli department (deli meats, cheese, salads, sandwiches, etc.).
• Have total understanding of department's standard practice manual and its intent.
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain the quality of department's appearance and presentation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
