Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, WI is seeking a Production Assistant II for the Deli to prepare, package, and merchandise premium freshly made products while delivering outstanding customer service.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, upscale environment where quality, cleanliness, and product knowledge are essential. In this role you will greet guests, recommend products, slice and weigh items, label products, and keep cases well stocked and clean.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ and able to obtain ServSafe certification.
• Experience in food production or service is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge and passion for food preparation.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• Ability to operate slicers, scales, and other equipment safely.
• Ability to use POS systems and handle cash securely.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with product selection and preferences.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on products and pairings.
• Slice, weigh, cut, trim, and package products to store standards.
• Prepare fresh foods according to store recipes and standards.
• Ensure all items are properly labeled and displayed attractively.
• Maintain well-stocked cases reflecting the store's premium image.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols; keep area clean.
• Train new team members as needed; support cross-functional teams.
• Complete duties and requests as assigned by management.
