Job summary

Safeway in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Deli Clerk to prepare fresh foods and deliver a welcoming customer experience. You will assist customers with deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and grab‑and‑go items while maintaining friendly, efficient service.

You will also keep the department stocked and clean, monitor freshness and temperature, and assist with restocking, order taking, and operating deli equipment in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to operate slicers and food preparation equipment following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.
