Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in Brandon, VT is seeking a Deli Department Leader to guide the team and partner with the Assistant Store Manager-Fresh to achieve financial and sales goals. You will model outstanding customer service and manage daily operations across production, safety, and merchandising.

You will lead associate development, training, and effective scheduling while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety, building strong customer relations, and driving store performance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Retail deli experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Deli Department operations in accordance with established department standard practices, in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager-Fresh.
• Lead excellent customer service and goodwill by role modeling and providing high standards in customer service and sales building.
• Aid in growing sales through effective merchandising strategies.
• Support department conditions including appearance, quality, variety, safety, sanitation, and food safety.
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory.
• Utilize company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Assist in creating and maintaining effective work schedules to meet production and customer service standards.
