Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Deli Manager to join our team. You will assist the store manager in supervision, planning, and control of deli operations, including food costs and safety standards.

You will lead onboarding, training, and ongoing performance evaluations to ensure outstanding customer service and deli metrics. You will manage daily tasks, inventory, vendor checks, and product freshness while upholding Town Pump standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in supervising deli operations and controlling expenses and costs.
• Lead by example in customer service and store operations.
• Conduct new employee orientations and ongoing training; document performance evaluations.
• Perform daily walkthroughs, prioritize tasks, delegate, and follow up.
• Maintain deli inventories, rotate products, and ensure freshness and proper labeling.
• Oversee deli maintenance, sanitation, and safe food preparation practices.
• Check vendor deliveries, verify orders, and manage stock and PLUs.
• Ensure product freshness, correct expiration dates, and removal of expired items.
• Maintain safety policies and promote kitchen/store safety.
