Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Manager to lead daily operations, oversee inventory and pricing integrity, and train staff to deliver outstanding guest service. You will guide the deli team in preparation of meat, cheese and CMS items while ensuring efficiency and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include directing associates, maintaining planogram compliance, and using internal training resources to optimize guest experience and department performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field or 5 years of related management experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Greeting guests and proactively assisting them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely information.
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests.
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage.
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of the department’s meat, cheeses, and CMS throughout the day.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job as well as through internal training platforms.

About the Position:

As the Deli Manager, you are taking the lead in directing team members, managing department inventory, pricing integrity, training, and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence to drive results.

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:
