Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in King of Prussia, PA seeks an experienced Deli Manager to lead the Deli Team, oversee daily operations, and ensure customers enjoy top-quality service with fresh, delicious products.

You will manage daily deli operations, hire/train staff, supervise duties, handle inventory and pricing, schedule work, coach, and maintain a clean, safe deli area while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a deli as an Assistant Manager or Manager.
• Strong knowledge of deli meat cutting, salad making, and customer service counter operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Deli Department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff.
• Oversee employee duties such as cutting, serving, packaging, and other counter functions.
• Maintain product storage, rotation, and labeling to prevent spoilage and ensure accurate pricing.
• Schedule and assign work to team members, monitoring performance and providing coaching.
• Track inventory and maintain stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Respond to customer and employee queries or complaints professionally.
• Operate food preparation machines and equipment safely.
• Receive, unload, and stock food items.
• Ensure the deli area is clean, safe, and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
