Job summary

Buehler’s Fresh Foods in Ohio seeks a Deli Lead to manage the deli and support Food Service Operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience whether shopping or dining in our restaurant. You will work closely with the Food Service Manager, Assistant Deli Lead and Deli Support team to supervise staff, uphold freshness and sanitation standards, and assist customers with product information.

The role requires at least 18 years of age, ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs, and occasional weekend

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to occasionally lift 50 lb and up to 80 lb.
Able to stand, reach, bend and perform routine deli/kitchen tasks.
Able to work in deli/kitchen environment with heat, steam, noise and varying conditions.
Willing to work some weekends and flexible with scheduling.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff to ensure exceptional customer service and greet customers.
Maintain high standards for freshness and sanitation.
Provide product knowledge to help customers make informed choices.
Hire, onboard, train and retain employees; recognize staff performance.
Rotate products and displays; support Restaurant, Catering and Specialty areas with special orders and trays.
Handle product ordering, storage and inventory; operate slicer and other equipment.
