Qualifications

• Attain at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand, reach, lift and move items weighing 50 lb and occasionally 80 lb.
• Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems.
• Able to work in a deli/kitchen environment with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives, often exposed to heat, steam, noise.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers and answering questions.
• Maintain high standards for freshness and sanitation.
• Sell products by providing information to help customers make decisions; offer samples.
• Fill, rotate, and display products; support restaurant, catering and specialty areas with special orders and party trays.
• Operate the deli slicer and other food service equipment.
• Support all deli functions including prep, production, sales support, deli counter, food service prep, deli sandwich, and soup/salad bar.
