Job summary

The GIANT Company in Lancaster, PA is hiring a team member for our deli department. You will use carts, utensils, ovens, fryers, roasters, slicers, scales, and cash registers to weigh, slice, cook, assemble sandwiches or grinders, and serve deli foods.

You must be able to perform all tasks and operate all equipment associated with this role. Responsibilities include preparing items per plan-o-gram, assisting customers, labeling and boxing orders, maintaining cleanliness, following PPE and safety

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate and follow company policies and safety regulations.
• Able to meet ergonomic and physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Meet company performance standards including regular attendance.
• Able to operate or learn to operate equipment and tools used for this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies at shift start.
• Prepare sandwiches and other deli items per plan-o-gram and SOP.
• Wait on customers, weigh, wrap and label orders, and place deli items in containers.
• Maintain the grab-and-go deli area and assist with food prep as needed.
• Prepare smoked or hot bar items and ensure cleanliness of surfaces, tools, and floors.
• Track and record loss as part of daily duties.
• Follow PPE and safety procedures and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
