Job summary

The GIANT Company in Harleysville, PA is seeking a team member to work in the deli, using carts, utensils, ovens, fryers, and scales to weigh, slice, cook, and serve deli foods. You will follow the plan-o-gram and prepare items for display while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

You will also assist customers, label and package orders, and ensure proper sanitation and PPE use throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand Company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deli foods such as sandwiches, rotisserie items, and hot bar offerings.
• Weigh, wrap and label orders, and put deli food into containers per plan-o-gram (POG).
• Assist customers, cut and slice meat or cheese, portion out deli food into containers, weigh, and label items for the grab and go section.
• Carry cases of chicken to worktable, roast chicken, and wrap and label the chicken.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss and follow SOPs and PPE requirements.
