Job summary

PCC Community Markets is seeking Deli Helper Clerks at our Green Lake Village location. You will provide friendly, professional service at the deli counter, assist with basic food prep, and handle packaging of deli items.

You’ll support sanitation and safety standards, help with barista service as needed, and work with a team to deliver quality products. Prior food prep experience is helpful, and a current WA Food Worker Card is required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of specialty and prepared foods preferred.
• Basic math skills for measurement and scale functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must meet physical requirements of standing, twisting, bending, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service at the deli counter and stations.
• Perform basic food preparation in accordance with PCC recipes.
• Counter and barista service when needed during business hours.
• Dishwashing and cleaning in the deli and production areas.
• Packaging and retail merchandising of deli items.
• Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Develop knowledge of deli products, specialty foods, baked goods and prepared foods.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards across the department.
