Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Mebane, NC is seeking a Deli Manager to lead deli operations, guest service, merchandising and staffing. You will supervise the deli team, ensure product quality and maintain department standards while meeting budgeted goals.

The role requires strong people leadership, inventory control, and the ability to train and develop team members. On-site work with the store’s service standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli operations or grocery store leadership.
• Ability to supervise and train staff to meet service standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and inventory control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
