Coborn’s, Inc. in Mendota, IL is seeking a Deli Department Assistant Manager to support deli operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional guest service at the deli counter.

This role includes assisting with slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling of deli items as needed. You will oversee recordkeeping, inventory, shrink, and freshness by rotating stock, while directing workload, coaching, and evaluating performance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all functions of operating the deli department.
• Support slicing, weighing, packaging and labeling of deli items.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping and inventory control.
• Provide customer service and manage staff workload and supervision.
• Direct staff when in charge, including training and performance evaluations.
• Control shrink and rotate stock to remove out-of-date merchandise.
