The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Department Lead to support the Deli Department Manager in delivering an extraordinary guest experience. You will lead your team with care, coach for growth, and step in as acting manager when needed, ensuring smooth operations and welcoming service.

You will monitor schedules, manage inventory, and analyze metrics while collaborating with other department leaders to boost store performance. This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; conflict resolution.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
