Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Deli Department Associate to promote outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will monitor department duties, train staff, and support budget and promotional plans to meet store goals.

You will inform customers about product specials, assist with inventory, process price changes, and ensure proper temperatures. This role requires strong communication and a service-oriented mindset in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
Communicate company, department, and job information to associates.
Establish department performance goals and empower staff to meet targets through teamwork.
Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
