Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.
• Communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates on their job performance and participate in performance appraisals.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions and locating products.
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples to showcase items.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Inform and educate associates about in-store promotions affecting the department.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
• Assist management with budget, expenses, and profit/loss reviews.
• Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags.
• Plan and organize inventory, monitor stocking conditions, and train staff on CAO.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines; handle conflicts constructively.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
