Job summary

Bozzuto's Inc. in Cheshire, CT is seeking a Deli/Dairy/Meat Procurement Buyer responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing inventory to ensure availability at optimal cost and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba), and inventory management tools.
• Proficiency in cost analysis, market trends, and purchasing best practices.
• Proficiency in sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, products, and services that meet company quality and cost objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent quality, delivery, and service levels.
• Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and procurement trends to optimize purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical sourcing guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, finance, and logistics, to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Monitor market trends, industry conditions, and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions, delivery issues, and quality discrepancies with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and performance tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday (Standard Business Hours)

Compensation:

• $50,000 - $65,000

Experience:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
