Job summary

Puget Consumers Co-op is seeking a Deli Helper Clerk to deliver friendly, professional customer service at the deli counter and other deli stations. You will perform basic food prep, package deli items, and maintain cleanliness across the deli area.

The role supports counter and barista service during business hours, with a focus on quality, sanitation, and teamwork. A WA Food Worker Card is required, with physical capability to handle regular lifting and standing.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.
• Fast-paced kitchen environment experience preferred.
• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of deli products and prepared foods is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift 10–40 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service at the deli counter.
• Perform basic food preparation per PCC recipes.
• Counter and barista service when needed.
• Dishwashing and cleaning in the deli and production areas.
