Job summary

Price Chopper is seeking a deli team member to provide fast, friendly service and assist in deli preparation and sanitation. You will handle customer requests, prepare deli items, and maintain a clean workstation in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include food preparation for in-store programs, sampling and upselling, and adhering to all company policies and sanitation standards. Evening/weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact and thank customers upon fulfilling requests.
• Provide sampling and suggestive selling; end each transaction with a thank you.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized workstation per 5S standards.
• Handle, merchandise and cook deli products per company standards.
• Prepare in-store made prepared foods.
• Prepare chickens and sides for Roaster Chicken program.
• Perform sanitation duties per corporate and state regulations (mopping, sweeping, trash, equipment cleaning).
• Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintain cold case logs, hot food logs and cooling logs per store policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to policies.
