Job summary

Buehler’s Fresh Foods is seeking a Deli Cook at our Canton location to prepare food for the Restaurant, Deli and Catering departments, ensuring daily supply for all teams and events. You will follow established production procedures while maintaining quality and speed to meet customer needs.

Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on food preparation, work well in a team, and can handle busy periods including weekends and holidays. Training is available; prior prep cook experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or 16-17 only if not operating certain equipment (slicer, buffalo chopper).
• Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50–80 lb.
• Able to read and follow written and oral instructions; perform simple math.
• Work in deli/kitchen environment with heat, steam, and noise; use equipment like ovens, slicers, mixers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare the department’s needs.
• Set up, organize, and prepare food using production procedures.
• Maintain sanitation, health, hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Observe proper food handling techniques.
• Assist Line Cooks and Deli Department when needed.
• Store food properly with clear dating.
