Job description

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for slicing, cutting, and wrapping all deli products for consumption to promote optimal sales opportunities. Maintains a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
2. Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them upon fulfilling their requests.
3. Perform sampling and suggestive selling in a friendly manner; end each transaction with a “Thank You”.
4. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
5. Handle, merchandise, and cook all deli products according to company standards.
6. Prepare in-store made food programs and chicken side orders for the Roaster Chicken program.
7. Perform sanitation duties as per corporate and state regulations, including mopping, sweeping, emptying garbage, and cleaning equipment.
8. Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
9. Maintain logs for cold cases, hot foods, and cooling, in accordance with store policy.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic literacy and computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Exposure to cold environment: 5-8 hours.
• Exposure to hot environment: 3-5 hours.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs constantly for 5-8 hours.
• Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally for 1-3 hours.
• Pivoting constantly for 5-8 hours.
• Pushing/Pulling up to 25 lbs frequently for 3-5 hours and occasionally for 1-3 hours.
• Occasional squatting/kneeling for 1-3 hours.
