Job summary

Juniors Supermarkets in San Juan is seeking a Deli Associate to provide friendly, efficient service while preparing a variety of deli items. You will slice, weigh, wrap, and label products, and maintain a clean deli area in accordance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with selections, preparing made-to-order items, and monitoring stock and sanitation. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred; ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in deli or food service preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service and assist with product selection.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses to customer specs.
• Prepare made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and other deli items.
• Maintain a clean, organized deli counter and proper food storage.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and monitor product quality.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers and wrapping machines.
• Assist with inventory, deliveries, and stocking shelves.
• May handle opening/closing duties and cash handling as needed.
